What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep so it can recognise you next time. Browser storage — localStorage and sessionStorage — does something similar. By law, all of this may be stored without consent only when the site genuinely cannot work without it.
Our site sets no cookies of its own for shoppers
That is not a figure of speech: velano.com.ua sends a shopper's browser no cookies at all. Instead we keep three technical values in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device — we cannot even see them.

The site's cookies are given solely to shop owners signing in to the partner account, and both are technical. velano_partner keeps the sign-in session for up to 30 days or until sign-out. velano_g appears only if you press the Google sign-in button: it lives for up to 10 minutes and is needed to make sure it is really you coming back from Google; the site deletes it once sign-in is finished. Neither is readable by page scripts or sent anywhere except our site. No consent is needed for them: without them the partner account cannot work. Google's own sign-in page is governed by Google's rules and cookies.
Third-party services
Cookies can appear on our site from only three external services. Two of them start only when you act.

Cloudflare's attack protection may set a technical cookie that tells humans from bots. It exists for site security and is not used for advertising or tracking.
Cloudflare may also add its Cloudflare Web Analytics visit counter to the pages. It counts page views and page load speed, but sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, so it does not depend on your choice in the banner. More in the Privacy Policy.
How to change your choice
Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page — the banner opens again and you can give or withdraw consent. Withdrawal applies going forward.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Clearing this site's data also removes our three values, so the banner will appear again.
What comes next
We plan to add advertising tools from Google, Meta and TikTok. None of them is running yet. When we add them, we will update this page before launch and ask for your consent again, because that is a different purpose.
