What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep so it can recognise you next time. Browser storage — localStorage and sessionStorage — does something similar. By law, all of this may be stored without consent only when the site genuinely cannot work without it.

Our site sets no cookies of its own

That is not a figure of speech: velano.com.ua sends your browser no cookies at all. Instead we keep three technical values in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device — we cannot even see them.

What is storedWhyHow long
velano_themeRemember light or dark themeUntil you clear your browser
velano_compareThe products you added to comparisonUntil you clear your browser
velano_cookieYour analytics choice, so we don't ask every timeUntil you clear your browser

Third-party services

Cookies can appear on our site from only three external services. Two of them start only when you act.

ServiceWhen it startsWhy
Google AnalyticsOnly after you press "Accept". Without consent the script is not even loadedTo count visits and see which pages are useful
YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com)The player is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode: advertising cookies appear only if you start a videoTo show product reviews
Google MapsOnly on the "Where to buy" page — the map is the point of that pageTo show the nearest shops on a map

Cloudflare's attack protection may set a technical cookie that tells humans from bots. It exists for site security and is not used for advertising or tracking.

How to change your choice

Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page — the banner opens again and you can give or withdraw consent. Withdrawal applies going forward.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Clearing this site's data also removes our three values, so the banner will appear again.

What comes next

We plan to add advertising tools from Google, Meta and TikTok. None of them is running yet. When we add them, we will update this page before launch and ask for your consent again, because that is a different purpose.
